Mayor Todd Winters led the beginning of the Christmas season at the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony Monday, November 28 at Cornerstone Park. Choirs from every elementary school sang carols before the switch was flipped. Winters introduced every choir afterwards who cheered to be the loudest with encouragement from people in attendance.

A new city council member and planning commissioner joined the City of Edgerton at a special meeting held Thursday, December 1. Alex Clowder, city clerk swore in Bill Malloy as the new city council member.
The public hearing scheduled for the special Thursday, December 1 city council meeting was cancelled. The hearing was for a rural housing incentive district on the Dwyer Farms property. The city was considering adopting a plan for development of housing and public facilities on the land.
