Due to construction in the surrounding areas, we have consolidated FREE PARKING to two official FREE shuttle lots: Garmin: Garmin Way, Olathe, KS 66062 Olathe District Activity Center: 20925 W. 159th Street, Olathe, KS 66062 Gardner Edgerton High School is NO longer being used as a location. Anyone who selected Gardner Edgerton High School as their FREE parking location has been moved to the Olathe District Activity Center. We apologize for any inconvenience. A new parking pass will be automatically sent from the air show ticket provider.

BOCC discuss 199th Street truck traffic for second week

Lhermansen@cherryroad.com The truck traffic on 199th Street through the rural parts of southern Johnson County including Edgerton was the main topic of discussion for another week at the Thursday, August 25 Board of County Commissioners meeting. Frank Moley, 199th street Edgerton resident, said the narrative was CARNP says no Type III designated roadways are to allow through traffic for trucks and they should be restricted to State and Highway roads.

Johnson County to exceed revenue neutral rate for 2023 budget

Lhermansen@cherryroad.com The Board of County Commissioners held a two hour public hearing Monday,August 22 to receive citizen feedback on the 2023 fiscal year budget. The BOCC passed three separate motions 5 to 2 for exceeding the revenue neutral rate for the County, Parks and Rec and Library budgets with Commissioners Charlotte O’Hara and Michael Ashcraft dissenting.
