City of Edgerton swears in two new members

A new city council member and planning commissioner joined the City of Edgerton at a special meeting held Thursday, December 1.

Alex Clowder, city clerk swore in Bill Malloy as the new city council member.

Malloy fills the seat vacated by former council member Josie Stambaugh.

Malloy is a Dot’s Pretzels employee and has lived in Edgerton for the past three years.

“I want to be more involved in the city,” he said.

Malloy previously ran a church youth camp and led a mission trip to Belize.

Clowder also swore in Jordyn Mueller for a planning commissioner seat. That ends September 2024.

Mueller said she has resided in Edgerton for 10 years. She is a single mom with a teenage son in the USD 231 school district and works at Logistics Park for Cold Point.

“I am excited to be part of something like this,” she said.

Don Roberts, mayor, recommended Malloy and Mueller for the positions and said he appreciated both standing up to take on the roles.
