The 6th grade Gardner-Edgerton Blazers wrap up their season The 6th grade Gardner-Edgerton Blazers had a record number of players come out for football this year. With a turnout of 53 kids, there was enough players to fill out 3 complete rosters. This was the biggest turnout ever by a city or grade in the entire league. The BLUE team was made up of returning players who have been playing over the last several years. The WHITE team was made up of kids that came out last year and the BLACK team which was put together with players who came out just this year. All 3 teams finished with varying success. The Blue Team finished the season as the Silver Playoff Champions which was good enough for a 5th place finish out of 23 teams!The BLACK and the WHITE teams both finished their seasons strong and on a high note meeting for the Bronze Playoff Championship which was won 8-6 by the BLACK team in a hard-fought defensive battle. All three teams are part of the Kansas City Football and Cheer League which is made up of teams throughout the Kansas City Metro area.
